Seniors’ residences are experiencing an expansion not seen anywhere else in Canada. From 2008 to 2020, we have seen an increase of nearly 40% in the number of housing units. What’s more, here in the Province of Quebec, 18% of Quebecers over 75 years of age reside in these units, as opposed to 5% to 10% in the rest of Canada, according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). So, yes, there are significant business opportunities, but there are also many challenges.
In recent years, Seniors’ residences have been hit hard. Indeed, think of the COVID-19 pandemic impact and the increased regulations, and, of course, the workforce is increasingly challenging to recruit.
In June 2021, IP4B welcomed to its team the CDS Communications Group (CDS), a specialist in telecommunications and automation solutions for seniors’ residences. CDS has built a solid reputation in this market over its 30 years of existence with innovative solutions that meet the expectations of local property managers. This integration with IP4B allows us to reinforce our R&D efforts to pursue even more advanced solutions.
In this perspective that IP4B has launched the CARE4B solution, a communication software platform designed to help Senior residences benefit from a set of functionalities to meet their management challenges. CARE4B is available in four main versions, depending on the residence’s business needs. There are fifteen significant modules and numerous functionalities that aim to increase productivity, reduce operating costs, help them meet the challenges of workforce shortages, and improve the resident experience.
